The Sacred Trees Are Coming
‘The Sacred Lives Of Trees’ exhibition was just an idea during december 2015. I knew I had to do it, but I had one BIG concern, it would involve a huge time and financial investment and as a relatively unknown emerging artist, I was unsure as to who would come to appreciate my paintings.
This is just part of a dream coming true for me, a long walk to freedom, as such. Luckily I decided to make a start and began painting my sacred trees in the new year. In recent years I had seen very positive and encouraging reactions to my art work and had powerful opportunities which I seized with open arms.
It is not an accident that I have attracted much support and interest for this current exhibition. In 2013, I started my ‘Authentic Reflexology’ business providing holistic therapy to all who seek to support their wellness and maintain balance in an ever-changing environment. Through my participation in national events such as ‘Mind Body Spirit’ holistic fare, I presented workshops and demonstrated my treatments openly. Here I received genuine and positive reports from clients and therapists alike, some who simply observed my work.
I say is it not an accident because in truth, I have worked very hard to arrive in the place where I now stand. In 1999, a very real change was needed in my life and it was then that the right teacher appeared for me. My studies in the natural use of the human voice at the Bel Canto School of Singing, have in truth, been a study of who I am and have provoked me to aim to be the best I can be, just that, in everything I do and to bring my talents, one by one to light.
While my study is on-going, for now I concentrate on my exhibition which takes place from 19th to 25th November at Carlow Library. It is very exciting. I am extremely grateful to all who have supported me in getting to this stage.
Our talents need to be shared they are of little use kept in the dark so thank you for facilitating this sharing. I’ve made a promise to myself, no more hiding in the dark! My light does not take from others who also shine theirs and if anyone has an issue it means that they are simply not searching for the treasure they too possess – we each have very special gifts to offer the world.
Co-inciding with my exhibition I now have this fabulous new website has been kindly supported by Carlow Local Enterprise. I also acknowledge their support for mentoring provided by Bernie Tracey of Beacon Coaching. It has been a pleasure to work with Bernie for her helpful insight and also John Foy of Vision Identity for his creative input in designing my new website.
I seek to inspire others in their ‘Authentic Path’. Helping people to find that which sets them alight to be the best they can truly be, is my way of sharing the joy that I am finding in doing the same for myself. Meanwhile there is more work to be done, art to be created, books to be written and songs to be sung.
Thank you for reading.
